Downtown L.A streets are filled with ladies of all shapes and sizes representing for females who have been verbally abused or misjudged. How adorable is Amber Rose’ mother with her “F*%K Your 30 Showers” sign. One picture that caught my eye was a girl holding a sign saying “Strippers Have feelings too”! I think what they are trying to get across is that just because they are promiscuous or decide to dress a certain way does not make it okay to judge or disrespect dancers or females that dress rather provocative.
Another person was dressed half naked with the words written “I’m still not asking for it”. Amber Rose set out on a mission to stand up for women like herself who have been called a Slut or other downgrading names because of her stripper ways. This day and age a woman can claim rape, but because of how she dresses or if she was a stripper a good percentage of people would say she was asking for it. Cheers to Amber Rose and her success she has put a lot of time and effort into this day.

They say its part of the fight against rape culture. I am personally baffled by these women and they way they want to identify as ‘sluts’. Rape is sick. Its a heinous crime and should never be okay, for any reason. I think anyone could agree to such a statement….but the message we’re sending to little girls across this country is so backwards and so wrong. Decency and SELF RESPECT should be encouraged in both genders—because that’s part of civilized society. I’m so, so, so freaked out by the thought of my daughter someday being a part of something as degrading as #Slutwalk—and even more frightening is the thought that she could (as all these people believe themselves to be) be in such a movement to ‘advance women’. I believe little girls should be raised to think they’re princess’s. That they are very special, that their body is a temple—and young men should be raised to value women, to protect them and cherish their physical beings—like Jedi’s protect a temple. I’m really concerned about my daughter someday being exposed to indecency such as this under the sick guise of ‘empowerment’. No prudent adult should ever behave in a manner so unrefined and broadcast it across the nation to young people with pride… I don’t understand how anyone could want to send that message to children—they’re being raised to see such contrasting values. How could you connotate pride and empowerment with the degenerate word ‘Slut’? It’s very backwards and I hope someone puts a check to these people before they further tear down the standards for morality I’d like to think WE, as a Nation once held so held so dear.
This pretty much sums up the slut walks. If women want to be sluts they will be treated like sluts and no amount of “empowering” walks are going to change that.
