Sanaa Lathan
With two hit shows, Empire and Rosewood, under their belt, FOX is looking to add a third smash hit to their line up. According to reports by Deadline Sannaa Lathan will be staring in FOX’s new drama series under the direction of Gina Prince Bythewood. Bythwood was also the director of the classic film Love and Basketball.
The series is currently untitled and there is no set premier date, however the pilot script has already been written. Sanaa Lathan will play a “lead investigator who examines the murder of a white teen by a black police officer. With the help of a special prosecutor, the two try to solve the case because a race war divides the town.”
