Maya Moore has always had a thing for winning. Following four successful years at UCONN, she has really, only gotten better in the big league. Last night proved that, when she and the Lynx were tied 77 all, and Moore quickly gave her team what they needed, the last three points.

Teammate, Lindsay Whalen, inbounded the ball to Moore who had 1.7 seconds to make a move. She quickly faked left, got in position, and took her shot. The shot fell, and well you know the rest.

Whalen talked briefly about her teammate and the shot.

I knew when she caught it, I had a feeling she’d put the ball in. The poise she had on that play was just really unbelievable. She gave a little fake, got to her spot, knew the time she had, and it was awesome. It was a great shot, and that’s what great players do.”
