Saturday was full of edge-of-your seat 4th quarters. Between Tennessee and Georgia, West Virginia and OSU, and Rutgers and Michigan State one could say it was a successful CFB Saturday.

The Rutgers-Michigan State game was literally down to the wire as the Scarlet Knights were down by a touchdown and one to tie the game with 10 seconds left. Going for it on fourth down, everyone expected a Hail Mary attempt, but what really happened shocked everyone.

Instead of nailing a three-step drop and sending the ball downfield with the hope of a miracle catch and touchdown, Rutgers QB, Chris Laviano spiked the ball into the ground. The spike resulted in a turnover and ended the game.

Rutgers coach, Norries Wilson took all blame for the play that was clearly called so poorly.

“At the end of the game the clock management is 100 percent on the guy in charge, and I’m the guy in charge. So I mismanaged the situation and Chris Laviano did what he was told to do. And I told him the wrong thing.”

Talk about a bad call, coach.
