Machine Gun Kelly

Earlier this year, Machine Gun Kelly was cast in Cameron Crowe’s TV series ROADIES, and the cast and crew filmed the one-hour pilot for Showtime out in Vancouver. Now 10 months later – just as Kells is preparing to release his sophomore album tomorrow – he got the news that the show has officially been picked up by the network!

“Showtime picked up the pilot,” MGK wrote on Instagram with a photo of the email from Crowe. “i’ll save this email forever. looks like your boy is officially in a TV series. #Roadies”

The show will focus on the lives of a group of roadies on tour, and give “an inside look at the reckless, romantic, funny and often poignant lives of a committed group of characters who live for music and the de facto family they’ve formed along the way.” Kells will be playing the role of Jesse, twin brother to the main character and a guy who “thrives around guitars and espresso machines.”

The show is set to air next year, but you can get a [very brief] look via the trailer below!
