A 27-year-old bride in Sacramento, California was able to turn a bad situation into a good deed after getting dumped on her wedding day.

27-year-old Quinn Duane was getting ready to tie the knot when her fiancee got cold feet and decided to call the entire thing off just a few hours before the ceremony was set to take place. Instead of crying about it and having a complete and total break-down, she called her mother, Kari Duane, and decided to give back to the community since the $35,000 paid for the wedding was non-refundable.

Her mother stopped by City Hall to speak with the homeless people in the community, inviting them to attend the wedding to eat for free.

“When I found out on Monday that the wedding would not be taking place, it just seemed like, of course, this would be something that we would do to give back,” Kari Duane said.

About 120 people showed up to enjoy the wide-variety of gourmet food at the banquet hall.

The bride decided to stay home with close friends being that she wasn’t in the mood to be around too many people, which is completely understandable.

Also in the wedding package was a honey moon trip to Belize, which Quinn will be going on with her mother for a nice trip.

See some photos from the event in the gallery! She definitely deserves to find an amazing man after doing such a good deed for the community.
