Amiyah Duston, 9, was visiting a friend in Queens when she was viciously attacked by a neighbor’s pit bull. Here’s the full story:

The death of Amiyah is a tragedy felt by everyone who learns of her story. With a GoFundMe.com fundraiser, Amiyah Duston’s family was able to raise $30K to cover funeral and memorial expenses.

Amiyah was laid to rest in a pink occasion tailored to her personality. She wore and pink dress as a tiara lay atop her head. Family and friends wore pink in honor of the young girl, while an abundance of pink flowers surrounded her casket.

There has been no new information about the fate of the pit bull who took the young beauty’s life.
