Pusha T’s issues with Birdman and Lil Wayne go back years, and he was sure to add in a jab on his latest release, “Untouchable.” Appearing on Ebro In The Morning on Hot 97 on Friday, King Push explained where it all stemmed from way back when.

When Ebro asked if the rift started around the “Mr. Me Too” era in ’06, Pusha replied:

“Eh, before that. I mean, just rap stuff. Then there was like a wild interview and the outtakes of the interview got out, and it was just very loose talk. … I feel like this was a time where the internet and where fans were being very vocal. So it would be things like fans would be like, ‘Man, you into this and you talking like that and you sounding like [Lil Wayne.]’ And I feel like he did an interview that wasn’t very diplomatic. Like, it was never me or anything that I said, you know what I’m saying?”

He goes into further detail below. Pusha also speaks on linking up with Timbaland for their new record, goes off on critics of his “Coke Rap” and more. “I AM THE HIP-HOP!”
