IFWT_Bradley Beal John Wall

Here we go again…  John Wall and Bradley Beal previously proclaimed that they’re the best backcourt in the NBA which immediately started a heated debate with many people saying it was the Splash Brothers, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.  Well Wall and Beal were asked who’s the best backcourt in the NBA right now and again they stood by their previous statement.

Per ESPN (via EOB):

Who’s the best backcourt in the NBA right now, in your estimation?

Wall and Beal, simultaneously: “We are.”

Some people would say it’s Curry and Thompson. How would you make that argument?

Wall: “We are.”

Beal: “We are.”

Because?

Beal: “Both ends.”

Wall: “Both ends. We play both ends of the court.”

Offense and defense.

Beal: “We’re just competitive.”

Wall: “We take nothing away from them, but we just feel like we’re the best. I’m never going to say anybody’s better.”

Stephen Curry has gotten better defensively but he still isn’t close to John Wall in that area.  But,through eight games, Washington is 21st in defensive rating, giving up 104.1 points per 100 possessions. Head coach Randy Wittman recently blasted the Wizards’ defensive effort and called them “soft.”  And while Curry and Klay Thompson were both no doubt better offensively than Wall and Beal previously, Thompson has been struggling lately.
