Let’s be honest, there’s two reasons Greg Hardy is currently on an NFL team and Ray Rice isn’t; 1. there’s video of Rice punching his wife Janay in the elevator 2. Hardy is still a very good player, Rice is an aging running back on the decline.  We all know there’s tons of things teams will overlook if you have impressive skills.  Rice however seems to be very apologetic while Hardy has been digging himself in a deeper hole.  Rice offered advice for the Cowboys defensive end Thursday, when asked to discuss the impact of domestic violence.

“One thing I would encourage Greg [to do] is to take a deeper look into what the severity of domestic violence is,” Rice said on WFAN’s “Boomer & Carton Show,” via USA Today. “It’s better late than never. . .

“You have to be sincere in your actions. Show it on and off the field. Take that uniform and use it for what it’s worth. You don’t have to win another football game, you don’t need another dollar to go out and make a difference in other peoples’ lives.”

Rice said he hoped to play again, but would also like a chance to work with players to share his story.

“If I don’t have a second chance on the field with the NFL, I would love to work with them to help make a difference, speak to rookies or anybody else they wanted me to,” he said. ” I know I can make a difference.”
