IFWT_Ronda Rousey lose

Dethroned bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has been suspended six months because of a head injury she suffered in her loss over the weekend to Holly Holm, UFC announced.

It’s not exactly adding insult to injury — Rousey previously had said she planned to take time off after UFC 193 — but it does indicate how physically punishing Holm’s shocking knockout kick was.

Rousey is suspended for 180 days, unless a CT scan of her head reveals no damage, and she is not to fight again for 60 days or have contact for 45 days, according to the full list of medical suspensions UFC initially released to MixMartialArts.com.

Fighting for the third time in three months, Rousey lost for the first time as an MMA fighter via a second-round KO by Holm in Melbourne.
