Proving grounds. On Thanksgiving, rap nemesis’ 50 Cent and Rick Ross will both be dropping mixtapes, coincidentally. With both artists currently at each other’s necks for their long drawn feud, this could lead to more steam for one artist and leave the other in the dust. Either way, fans win with all this new music. Hit the jump for more.

November 26th is shaping up to be a good day. Some Thanksgiving dinner with the fam…football…and now all this new music to top it off. 50 took to the gram to announce The Kanan Tape’s mixtape-release party and the Bawse showed his twitter fingers with slating his Renzel Remixes for the same day.

Who do you think is going to do better in the polls? Both artists as far as we know didn’t plan to simultaneously drop new music, but maybe this is just what they need. Both drop their heat for the streets and see what the fans feel more.

Back in 2007, 50 had a similar fate when he went up against Kanye West and vowed to sell more than him. When 50 lost to Kanye’s Graduation outselling 50’s Curtis by almost 300k copies, he said he would retire from rapping, but look where we are today. We’re all glad 50 didn’t stop because just like in 2007, November 26th, 2015 could turn out to be a very good day for hip-hop.

Lil Wayne and Fabolous are also set to drops mixtapes that day with Wayne’s No Ceilings 2 and Fab’s Summertime Shootout. Stay tuned.
