As his second presidential term nears it’s end, memes of President Obama have surfaced comparing his appearance from the 2008 to now. Most point out his greying hair over the last seven years and joke about how presidency has definitely taken its toll.
Recently, President Obama confirmed that he does not dye his hair, but that he does know a few political figures who do!
The President sat down and joked with members of the town hall meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia about how the millennial generation has found great humor in the greying of his hair.
“The first thing I want from young people is to stop calling me old. Come on, you hurt my feelings.”
He went on to confirm that he does not dye his hair, but that he is sure that other political figure may have their hair dressers and barbers do a little color touchup every now and then.
When I came into office I had no gray hair and now I have a lot…I don’t dye my hair and a lot of my fellow leaders do. I won’t say who. But their barbers know, their hairdressers.”
According to USA Today, this is not the first time that people have questioned whether or not our nation’s leader has any peculiar cosmetic habits.
“One secret former President Ronald Reagan took with him to his grave was whether he dyed his midnight-black hair. Reagan always denied he hued his hair and interviews with his barber never proved otherwise.”
With all of the commotion going on all over the world, it was refreshing for the President to talk about his grey hair other than bombs and possible wars.
Not for nothing, if the man is going to represent our whole country, he should at least look good doing it!
