Can Colossus of Rhodes one of greatest structures in history be reborn? The ancient statue may be built again as a tourist attraction in Greece.

A group of young engineers look to rebuild this 98 foot high statue in effort to create job opportunity for the people of Greece as Greece is in an economic crisis. Colossus of Rhodes once sat on a podium near the Harbor of Rhodes for 52 years until an earthquake struck in 226 BCE, knocking it down. The rebuild of Colossus is expecting to boost tourism in Rhodes because of it’s historical and cultural significance. There will be a view from the statue’s lighthouse, Colossus exterior will be covered in golden solar panels. Colossus could be completed within three to four years and would cost an estimated $260 million to $280 million. I believe it would be nice tourist attraction in Greece
