The Los Angeles Lakers are currently 2-12 at the bottom of the Western Conference.  The major issue they have which is constantly being discussed, is their lack of ball movement.  Eventually it all goes back to Kobe Bryant, who isn’t shooting well this season but is still taking a great deal of shot attempts.  Following the Lakers 111-77 loss to the Golden State Warriors, Nick Young was asked about these issues.

When asked what Lakers can do better, Young’s response: “We can’t let one guy determine everything. We have to play as a team.”  He continued, “It can’t be like a video game and you’re playing with your favorite player, you know? We’ve all got to share the ball.”

When asked if they discussed the problem with Kobe, Young replied: “Nah.  It’s hard to talk to somebody that’s a 5-year champ, you don’t want to step on his toes.  I think he knows, he knows the game well.  But at some point it gotta click for us.”

Bryant shot 1/14 from the field and finished with 4 points during the Lakers loss to the Warriors.

As for coach Byron Scott, will he talk to Kobe?  Well no, I already told you he’s a Kobe Bryant fanboy.  You can read his response here.

Sidenote: I’m not blaming all of the Lakers woes on Kobe.  He’s sat out some games and they’ve still been horrible but ball movement is definitely a problem.
