Angelica Blount said that her sister, Evangelina Mccrory, had claimed she heard a baby crying. Blount claims that she saw the bad but not all the way. Police responded to the call around 4pm on Friday.

Blount says,

“Anytime you have a helpless newborn child who can’t help themselves, it is frustrating.”

How could anyone just burry and abandon a new born baby? As police searched the area, they were able to hear the babies muffled cry under a foot deep hold filled with asphalt and debris. The baby was treated at the scene and then taken to a nearby hospital for additional treatment. She is now in stable condition.

Safe Surrender law says that parents are allowed to drop their newborn child off at any hospital or fire station confidentially with a 72 hour period. They would not have to worry about prosecution upon doing this.

Angel Flores, a nearby resident said,

“They could have done the right thing, and instead they came and dumped it here. I don’t know the situation they have or what’s going on, but this is not right. This is not human.”

The parents of this child could have very much so gave the child up for adoption. There are plenty of families who would have been willing to take the child in. This is terrible.

When police find out who did this, they will be charged with child endangerment and also attempted murder. Hopefully this child finds a safe home with loving parents.
