Salvation Army spokesperson Annette Bauer says this is the biggest check on record for Minnesota. Apparently, the couple who donated the check does so every year. However, this year’s amount staggers everyone.

The anonymous couple called the Salvation Army immediately after dropping the check in the bucket. They requested an official take it out of the bucket before volunteers counted the money at the end of the day. They did this to protect their identity.
