Newly minted heavyweight champion of the world, Tyson Fury, is doing his best to not gain any new fans since becoming the champ. Last week he took out Wladimir Klitschko to win the title after Klitschko holding it for what felt like decades. It felt like boxing got new life with Tyson’s victory but it didn’t take long for him to put his foot in his mouth.

While doing an interview this week, Tyson was asked about female boxers and let’s just say he had zero filter.

“It’s up to everybody what they want to do,” he says in the clip when asked about females making the decision to fight. “I’m all for it. I’m not a sexist. I believe if a man can go to work all his life, a woman can. Who am I to say, ‘Don’t do that ‘cause you’re a girl’? But I believe a woman’s best place is in the kitchen and on her back. That’s my personal belief. Making me a good cup of tea—that’s what I believe.”

Did you see how fast he switched up from “I’m not a sexist” to saying one of the more sexist things you’re going to hear? If Ronda Rousey hates Floyd Mayweather, I wonder what she thinks of this guy.

Fury also speaks about homosexuality and pedophilia and insinuates that there is a connection between the two. He echoes what he told the Daily Mail last month during a controversial interview with them.

“There are only three things that need to be accomplished before the devil comes home,” he said in early November. “One of them is homosexuality being legal in countries, one of them is abortion, and the other is pedophilia. Who would have thought in the ‘50s and ‘60s that those first two would be legalized?”

Tyson appears to not give a damn about being more in the public eye now. You can look at that as “refreshing” since he is freely speaking his mind and not giving PC answers but he needs to learn quick that being more in the public eye is a blessing and he might want to chill if he wants to grow his fanbase.
