There is pretty much no way in hell that Donald Trump is ever going to get near the Oval Office but he is damn sure making things interesting during his campaign. His latest act of foolishness came when he mentioned the idea of banning Muslims from entering our country. His words were met with such backlash that it has his own party debating about cutting ties with him. One of the most famous Muslims in the world, Muhammad Ali, wasn’t going to stand by without throwing a counter punch and firing back with a response.

“We as Muslims have to stand up to those who use Islam to advance their own personal agenda,” Ali said in a statement first released to NBC News. “They have alienated many from learning about Islam. True Muslims know or should know that it goes against our religion to try and force Islam on anybody.”
While the statement doesn’t mention Trump by name, it is clear he is the target of Ali’s words.
“Speaking as someone who has never been accused of political correctness, I believe that our political leaders should use their position to bring understanding about the religion of Islam and clarify that these misguided murderers have perverted people’s views on what Islam really is,”
“I am a Muslim and there is nothing Islamic about killing innocent people in Paris, San Bernardino, or anywhere else in the world,” he said. “True Muslims know that the ruthless violence of so called Islamic Jihadists goes against the very tenets of our religion.”
I don’t think most people with common sense would disagree with anything the Champ said.
