Uh oh! Looks like Skateboarder, Steven Fernandez and his friends are in quite a bit of trouble. Steven Fernandez, Jose Barajas, and Keelan Lamar Dadd were all arrested and charged with committing lewd and lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14, according to Los Angeles Police Department. Fernandez is a well known skateboarder with a large following base on Instagram and Twitter. Fernandez has been accused of using his social media fame to lure a 12 year old girl into a car being driven by Barajas. Read more after the jump!

Police say that Fernandez promised the 12 year old girl fame and to make an appearance of his nonexistent MTV special in exchange for sexual acts. Four days after, detectives posing as the girl arranged to meet Fernandez and Barajas at an abandoned home allegedly for sex, police said. Both were subsequently arrested during the sting operation. Dadd accompanied by an attorney turned himself into police December 3rd according to CBS Local News. Barajas and Dadd have posted bail and are awaiting arraignment as for Fernandez he was released to his mother and was ordered to wear an tracking device on his ankle pending his court appearance as he is a minor.

Fernandez’s attorney, Ryan D’Ambrosio has made a statement in reference to Fernandez saying

“Steven is as much of a victim in this case as the other minor. Once the investigation is complete, I think evidence will show that Steven’s celebrity status was preyed on by the adults who were arrested in this matter. We won’t be making further statements until the investigation is complete.”

Police are searching for other possible victims and took the unusual step of releasing the mugshot of Fernandez, a minor.
