Matt Barnes is by far one of my favorite athletes. I know he isn’t the greatest player on the court but this dude is so real. In a time where most athletes constantly give “PC” answers to questions and topics, Barnes doesn’t give a f***! To remind you of this, he started his 2016 off by ripping Derek Fisher, his estranged wife and even Rihanna!

Barnes was recently just suspended for two games by the NBA for his role in the altercation he has with Fisher during the off season at his own house! As you know, Barnes was not feeling the idea of Fisher hanging out with his estranged wife, Gloria, at the home he paid for. So Barnes drove there and made sure he got his point across with his fists. Being real, Fisher deserved anything Barnes did to him but the league still handed down punishment.

Earlier in the year, Barnes was linked to possibly dating Rihanna, a rumor which he never denied. He kept saying they were just friends and maybe seeing if anything could happen. That was until RiRi totally denied ever knowing who he even was. Then she became a target of his wrath as well.

Barnes talks about how 2015 was the worst year of his life and he was going to speak his mind no matter who it pissed off.

Who went behind my back, messed w my ex, got caught, got dealt w for being a snake, then ran & told the Police & NBA.. Instead of taken that ass whoopin like a man & kept it moving….!

All this played out like a bad reality show, a nightmare, for your amusement & entertainment! For you to critique, make fun of, crack jokes & laugh about.. “What I shoulda did” or what “y’all would have done” Hmmmm… I say all this not for sympathy, because I had a hand in all the bad $h!t that happened.. I was never perfect in my relationship, I didn’t see eye to eye w my head coach.. I was warned SEVERAL times about ole girl & I introduced love ones to people who I “thought were FRIENDS”… Lesson Learned!! This is for all of you who had a F@#%ed up year… To let you know I’m right there w you, We In this together! Everyone has ups & downs in this game called LIFE… It gets better…. “I think” Hahaa nah it does, trust me! — -Remember God gives his toughest battles to his strongest soldiers!!!
-Stay positive, hold ya head, tighten your circle & stick to your instincts..
