General Lloyd Austin, head of U.S. Central Command says, “It was a good strike.”

“We estimate that it served to deprive ISIL of millions of dollars. ISIL needs those funds to pay their fighters, to recruit new fighters and to conduct their various maligned activities.”

This was a very sensitive act done by the United States. They were afraid to go on with this act due to the number of innocent lives that could have been taken due to the closeness of the city and the center. Drones did the math for days to see where the least amount of people would be inured. A post attack estimates 5-7 people were killed.
