A few days ago we learned from Tmz that ‘Single Ladies’ actress LisaRaye was on the verge of being hit with a defamation lawsuit by pop singer Dencia. Dencia is also the owner of a company called Whitenicious that offers a product which allows people to lighten the color of their skin. Well reportedly Dencia felt like her name was being slandered by McCoy when she appeared on a radio show to discuss her new film, ‘Skinned’. The actress allegedly threw shade at the pop singers skin whitening product while on the show when she said this,

“They use this cream like lotion all over their bodies to bleach their skin to become lighter,” she said.

Adding,

“Now, what happens, though, their knuckles, their elbows stay the original color. So, now you’re looking at them like, ‘What did you do?'”

After hearing that, Dencia clearly felt like she was being attacked or slandered in some way because she then let the world know that she was coming for lisa Raye with a defamation lawsuit. But just days after that Lisa Raye’s lawyer C. Anthony Mulrain has come to the actresses defense and has fire back at Dencia, hard!

The lawyer made several point according to Tmz and here they are:

— LisaRaye never called out Whitenicious, she referenced “Whitealicious” on the radio.

Being the first point,

— Even if a jury felt she was really going after Whitenicious, by Dencia’s own admission, it’s a God send. Dencia tweeted, “Everytime a celeb or blog mentions Whitenicious, saying anything good or bad, the sales go up 1000%, so hey keep talking.”

Being the second point,

— Dencia can pound sand if she’s expecting a retraction. But in the spirit of sisterhood, LisaRaye will post a statement on Facebook and Twitter saying she was not referring to Dencia’s product.

Which was the third point made by the actress’s lawyer in efforts to prove that her lawsuit is BS. I honestly feel this can go either way but because Lisa Raye said she would post a statement on FB assuring people that she was not talking about Dencia, that should just squash everything.

Lets see how all of this unfolds.
