The Lonely Island’s Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone are working with Fox to bring an all-womens sketch comedy show to its Saturday night lineup. Party Over Here will debut on March 12, and will star Nicole Byer from Girl Code, Jessica McKenna from the comedy troupes Groundlings and the Upright Citizens Brigade, and Saturday Night Live writer Alison Rich.
“When we first conceived this idea, we thought of it as a spinoff of Empire,” The Lonely Island guys said in a statement. “We failed miserably. Now it’s much more of a sketch comedy show.”
