The Beyhive wins again. An anti-Beyoncé protest was supposed to take place this morning at the NFL headquarters in New York City but… no one showed up! Well no protestors against Beyoncé showed up, her supporters however were out in full force.
There was some outrage about Beyoncé’s halftime performance at Super Bowl 50 after she came through with her dancers dressed as Black Panthers while she performed her new song “Formation”. Some felt the song was against law enforcement and Bey is seen sitting on top of a police car sinking in the Louisiana waters in the video for the song.
The protest registration page held this description:
Are you offended as an American that Beyoncé pulled her race-baiting stunt at the Superbowl?
Do you agree that it was a slap in the face to law enforcement?
Do you agree that the Black Panthers was/is a hate group which should not be glorified?
Come and let’s stand together. Let’s tell the NFL we don’t want hate speech & racism at the Superbowl ever again!
Well the anti-Beyonce folks didn’t show up but her supporters got in Formation.
