How in the world could we forget about Jared Fogle, the Subway spokesman who got charged with child pornography. Fogle was sentenced to 15 years in prison. He is now trying to fight that sentence by saying you can not punish anyone for their fantasies. He says fantasies are not really crimes.

Fogle’s lawyers believe that the judge had no right to give him anything over 13 years. They claim who sentenced Fogle said,

“This defendant is obsessed with child pornography and having sex with minors. He fantasized about it in telephone conversations.”

His lawyers have released a statement saying,

“We are loath to give the government the power to punish us for our thoughts and not our actions.”

The problem with this statement is had Fogle be given the opportunity, Fogle would have went and made his fantasies reality as he spoke about on the phone with Rochelle Herman-Walrond

Fogle plans to appeal court to get another hearing.
