The man who has been accused of killing six people and injuring two more during a Saturday night shooting spree in Kalamazoo, Michigan, was an Uber driver who was was picking up and dropping off passengers between shootings says a source. The source is not authorized to speak to media and they believe that Jason Brian Dalton was looking for fares after the final shooting after his nearly seven hour rampage.

Apparently the man accused of killing six people and injuring two was an Uber driver and was collecting fares during his nearly seven hour shooting rampage.

“We are horrified and heartbroken at the senseless violence in Kalamazoo. We have reached out to the police to help with their investigation in any way that we can.”

Uber’s chief security officer Joe Sullivan told to CNN in a statement.

No word on why Dalton decided to go on a shooting rampage but hopefully the public will know soon. Prayers are going out to the victims and their families.
