Ben Carson has made a pretty odd statement about President Obama. Carson feels as though President Obama can not relate to black people because he was raised white.
Carson was not too happy about Obama becoming President. He makes a statement on Obama being “raised white,” by saying ,
“[Obama] was, you know, raised white. Many of his formative years were spent in Indonesia. So, for him to, you know, claim that, you know, he identifies with the experience of black Americans, I think, is a bit of a stretch.”
He does say that he is happy that Obama becoming president broke the color barrier. When speaking about himself in the presidential race, Carson says,
“I don’t have any immediate plans of cessation. My plans are that we will continue to rise in the national polls and that we will become very, very competitive and that we will do extraordinarily well in the end.”
Lisa Cohen, who is Carson’s now former deputy campaign manager, says she is,
“deeply concerned about the campaign’s ability to move forward.”
