23-year-old Terri-Marie Palmer, will now be facing life in prison for killing her boyfriend 24-year-old boyfriend Damon Searson. Palmer stabbed Searson in the heart after she got mad about his Facebook usage. She posted a status on her own Facebook about him not paying her attention because he’s too busy on the site.
Palmer’s status read,
“p***** me off sitting on Facebook, completely blanking me when I’m talking to him.”
The two met at Palmer’s Costa Del Sol hair salon. Sources say the relationship was on and off. Searson and Palmer had moved into a trailer in Lancashire, England. Palmer would get upset because her boyfriend would take pictures with his shirt off and add other women. She sent him a text just a few days before killing him saying,
“Crying myself to sleep for the second time this week and it’s only Wednesday. Thanks Damon. I’m so angry and hurt I honestly want to f****** stab you,”
I mean is a social media site really that serious? Was it worth spending your life in jail over Facebook?
August 13, 2015 Palmer killed Searson. The same night she was complaining to a friend about him. She said she was going to go stay with her mother and leave Searson. She wrote on Facebook,
“All he does is sits there and adds loads of girls. He’s a f****** little prick. I’m fuming with him.”
Palmer had told police Searson stabbed himself but by accident. She said,
“I just wanted to make things work but he started to become a bit possessive over me. Wherever I was going, if it was just to the shop he had to be with me. I wasn’t expecting to be with him 24/7…I tried to work harder to make more money but it was really hard. We wouldn’t speak for ages then when we did talk he would be shouting and trashing rooms and then he would throw the phone.”
She will have to serve atleast 12 years in prison before being eligible for parole. All over Facebook smh.
