Yasiin Bey will continue to reside in South Africa while out on bail. His lawyer,Shahied Schreuder is arguing the presence of the Brooklyn born rapper – formerly known as Mos Def- has been beneficial to its arts industry of the country. “Many more international celebrities are looking at South Africa as a destination of choice for retirement and business,” said Schreuder. “We need to encourage that.”
