We heard awhile back of a sequel to the classic Tim Burton ‘Beetlejuice’, but after rumors keep popping up, Burton’s rep says Beetlejuice 2 will not be happening. Hit the jump for the full story.

Tim’s rep told MTV News that the exaggerated sequel is “not in development”.
Apparently, Tim Burton told Showbiz Spy, “The film is a go and has been approved by the Warner Bros. team. We have talked with the cast members we wanted for the film and they are all on board, this includes both Winona and Michael.”
This was all just made up and a let down 🙁 But what’s odd is that Winona Ryder actually confirmed the sequel herself last summer by telling Seth Meyers Tim Burton had been keeping the project “very hush-hush top secret”. She felt comfortable enough she could probably confirm it and stated: “I really don’t know much more than anybody else”.
But hey…maybe with all this demand they’ll look into making Beetlejuice 2? Who knows!
