Rory Fresco’s life got the ultimate turn-around this year, thanks to Kanye West and Soundcloud.

In Soundcloud’s auto-play algorithm, the Kansas City rapper’s “Lowkey” single was cued to play right after Kanye’s now-deleted “Real Friends.” Soundcloud uses mathematics to auto-play related songs, actually leading to some pretty dope music discoveries.

After just one day, Fresco’s single went from an impressive 5,000 plays on its own, to a whopping 150,000 plays with the help of Pablo, so to speak, earning him the attention of Epic Records.
