According to reports, the knife that caused an uproar after being revealed it was found on the former property of O.J. Simpson has turned out to not be so worth while in the end. TMZ is reporting that the LAPD conducted an investigation on the knife and it produced no DNA matches in the system.

Even if the knife somehow was the murder weapon, police will never know because “microbes in the soil degraded any DNA to the point it was impossible to get a meaningful result”. There was also no hair or anything else that could point them in the right direction.
The knife was found by a construction worker during the demolishing of Simpson’s former estate back in 2002. The worker passed it off to someone he thought was a cop, but turned out to be a retired officer who was doing security work. Since 2002 it was essentially been out of site and out of mind until the story came to light a couple weeks ago.
The LAPD has not made the announcement yet but it appears the knife is just another dead end in the “unsolved” case.
