The Obamas have seriously been the coolest family to ever live in the White House and as the last year of President Obama’s second term comes to an end it’s probably safe to say we’ll never see a family like them live there again. While giving a speech Wednesday at SXSW Music Conference, the First Lady was joined on stage by Queen Latifah who suggested that Michelle Obama run for the presidency, sending the crowd into a frenzy.

Unfortunately, Mrs. Obama has already weighed her options about running for office and told the crowd she would not be campaigning to be our future POTUS.

Michelle Obama told the crowd; “No, no. Not going to do it,” adding that her daughters played a major role in her decision, “The daughters of a president. Just think about it. Come on, young people. Not so easy,” she finished, “They’ve handled it with grace and with poise…”

The FLOTUS did reveal that she would be continuing all the projects she’s started while in the White House. She said;

Sometimes there’s much more you can do outside the White House without the constraints, the lights and the cameras, and the partisanship. There’s a potential that my voice can be heard by people who can’t hear me now because I’m Michelle Obama, the first lady. I want to be able to impact as many people as possible in an unbiased way to try to keep reaching people. I think I can do that just as well by not being president of the United States.”
