The U.S Coast Guard and Navy unloaded fourteen tons of cocaine that was seized in the eastern Pacific Thursday morning. The illegal narcotics were intercepted by the U.S Coast Navy vessels in operations against marine drug smugglers the Coast Guard said.

Fourteen tons of cocaine was unloaded and piled high as crew members removed it from a ship that was seized in the eastern Pacific. Agents with the federal Drug Enforcement Administration took custody of the drugs once they were on shore.

Coast Guard and Navy ships, working with the forces of other nations in the eastern Pacific, have seized more than 79 tons of cocaine this year, the Coast Guard said.
