It has been a rough few weeks for Nick Young to say the least. His relationship at home with fiance Iggy Azalea is on the rocks thanks to his immature teammate D’Angelo Russell recording a not so nice conversation involving Young talking about other women. His play has been horrible and in fact he hasn’t even touched the court in a few weeks either after coach Byron Scott decided he wasn’t “mentally” with the team. As if all those things weren’t enough, according to Young, when he asked Kobe to sign his sneakers after his final game, instead of an autograph he got a reality check.

Kobe used to be signed to Adidas but that was many years ago. He has been a Nike man for a long time now and that may have had something to do with him throwing Young’s Adidas kicks in the trash.

“The fact that he threw my adidas and didn’t sign my adidas, I was a little disappointed in that,” Young said. “I think he threw my shoes in the trash, but yeah, that’s Kobe for you… He told me to go get some Nikes, he’s not signing no adidas.”

Kobe has been signing kicks and giving them away all season to basically anyone who asked but those have all been pairs of Nike’s. Young learned the hard way how serious Kobe takes his brand.
