Police Officer Kareem Phillips was recorded not only verbally assaulting 18-year-old Yordy Aragon, but also physically abusing him. Phillips hit Aragon repeatedly with his baton while cursing at him.
Although the incident happened in December, the teen is now suing not only the officers involved but also the city. In the video, it did not appear that the boy was fighting the officers back or anything so this action was clearly an abuse of power.
