Kent Bazemore must not be that smart of a guy. Did he learn anything from the Pistons and the way they tried to talk trash to Lebron? As Bazemore and the Hawks get ready to face the Cavs in the playoffs for the second year in a row, the young player made a mistake that he will likely regret once the series gets going by trying to clown Lebron when he is in late game situations.

Stanley Johnson of the Pistons claimed he was “in Lebron’s head” during the series against the Cavs, despite the fact the Pistons were getting close to being swept when he said it. Bron heard the chatter and went out and did what he always does. Play at a high level, get teammates involved and most importantly win.

You can bet he will be ready to send a message in game one because let’s be serious. The Hawks have no shot in this series so running their mouths is probably not a good thing.

In an interview with Sean Deveney of Sporting News, Bazemore repeatedly pointed to James’ supposed inability to perform in the clutch. “LeBron is equivalent to 7-11,” Bazemore offered. “He doesn’t close.”

Nice try at a joke by Bazemore but it’s more likely he will wind up being the joke when he tries to guard Lebron. I understand a young player trying to hype himself up for a big matchup but when you haven’t done a damn thing in your career, you have no right to talk about any player and the way they close out games.
