Before she passed, Afeni Shakur was smart emough to guard her son’s legendary music catalogue with an apparent untouchable trust, employing one of the best people in the business to do so.

Afeni set up a trust to control all of Tupac’s music rights, a rep for his estate tells TMZ. The paperwork is apparently flawless, as Pac’s mom took extraordinary steps to ensue the protection of her son’s legacy. She recruited the perfect man for the job to do so, Tom Whalley, former head of Warner Bros. Records.

The trust is very specific about heirs, as the money will be going to selective charities and family. Afeni is survived by her sister, Gloria, and her daughter, Sekyiwa Shakur, Tupac’s half sister. Afeni’s ex-husband, Gust Davis, is not mentioned in the trust at all, so Pac’s music and money is safe in the divorce.
