Remember when we thought Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquaio was the mega fight of the century? Well if this fight with Floyd & Conor McGregor pans out, it will put the pre fight hype Mayweather/Pacquiao had to shame! Reports are indicating the two super stars are in the works to make the fight happen in Vegas and sooner than you think!

It was recently revealed that Floyd applied for trademarks related to “TBE50” which would indicate that the leader of the money team was giving serious consideration to coming out of retirement to get that 50th win. Everyone has been trying to determine who the best opponent would be or who would even deserve to be in the ring with him but McGregor as an opponent is out of left field but is also the biggest potential matchup as far as money and star power.

According to The Sun, the fighters have actually already agreed on the fight itself and are just trying to get the paperwork done.

You may remember, these two clashed via social media after Floyd made references to racism as to why people liked the way Conor carried himself in a cocky way but blasted Floyd for doing the same. Conor went on to say how easily he could beat Floyd if they ever fought, even going as far as to say he could take him in a boxing match alone. He has been trying to make the fight happen for months but it was mainly just to draw attention to himself.

“I’m open to discussions, come at me,” he said. “But I hold the key and it’s me who holds the key to the fight game.

“I am open minded, I am open to discussion, I love competition, I love fighting. It would be nice to make that fight if the fans were interested and wanted to see it.”

According to some of the paperwork, Floyd would receive at least $144 million for the fight, while McGregor would only make around $10 million, which clearly shows he isn’t holding any damn key when it comes to Floyd.

Just last week Floyd made reference to returning to the ring and said some things were being worked out but didn’t reveal much more than that.

Floyd apparently really wants to teach McGregor a lesson for keeping his name in his mouth. A source told The Sun that “Floyd went mad after Conor said he would crush him and knock him out in 30 seconds, he’s obsessed with making Conor eat his words. “Floyd is calling the shots. It’s strictly boxing and Conor will have to lose roughly 25lbs. “It was agreed in principle on May 2, but Floyd wouldn’t reveal the identity of his opponent until last night when he told friends he’ll be fighting Conor.”

If this fight happens it will easily become the biggest night in the history of the sport considering who the two opponents are and how it would be fighters from two different backgrounds on an elite level.

Floyd did say it would take a serious nine figure payday for him to come back and try for 50-0 and $144 million would surely meet that requirement.
