ifwt_Joe-Budden-x-Drake

Last week, Joe Budden dedicated a majority of his popular podcast to discussing Drake’s Views album, expressing his disappointment with what he says is a lack of growth on Drake’s part. Budden has been an avid Drake fan since the Comeback Season days, and Drake too has expressed his love for Budden’s rhymes in the past. The guys have a rapport as well, hanging out here and there when Drake is in NYC – so needless to say, the podcast was not a diss, but rather a constructive critique from a restless fan…despite its seemingly harsh delivery at times because of Budden’s raised voice. (Hey, he’s a passionate guy…)

After Budden’s views on Views became a worldwide trending topic last week, the internet went wild once again yesterday, when what seems to be a potential diss track from Drake popped up in the form of a Snapchat snippet from French Montana. Drizzy and French were in the studio on Tuesday night and recorded a song, and thus far, the only part of Drake’s verse that French has previewed is Drake saying, “Pump, pump it up!”

While many feel this could be the start of quite an interesting beef, Budden feels otherwise – until he has a reason not to.

“Let’s not jump to conclusions Sir,” Budden responded to a fan on Twitter last night, who’d pondered whether it was in fact a diss. He then took to Instagram and shared some conversations between himself and his friends in the studio…friends who seem to fall into the group of people who certainly think there IS a diss on its way.

“In 2016, there’s no reason for ANY artist to start a verse with ‘Pump, pump it up, other than ‘I got something to say to you-know-who,'” Joe’s friend Mal says. “Coming off of the most listened to podcast of the week?! […] He definitely got a verse coming.”

Find out what Joe has to say about it below.

Thx A lot Mal Pt.1
