Star of the hit show, ‘Empire’, Taraji P. Henson took to Instagram to announce the release of her new memoir “Around The Way Girl”.
Taraji P. Henson’s memoir “Around The Way Girl” is set to be released on October 11th, 2016, according to Taraji’s Instagram post. Also revealed in the post is the front and back cover of the memoir. Taraji releases a statement on the publishing website Simon and Schuster
“I love to play all kinds of characters, and I was trained to do exactly that. But whether it’s Cookie from Empire, Queenie from The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Yvette from Baby Boy, or rocket scientist Katherine Johnson from Hidden Figures, they’re characters. As for the real me, I’m just a girl who went to Hollywood with my son, $700, and a dream. There were some detours along the way, some heartache, and a whole lot of hustle. My family, friends, and fans always keep it real with me. Know that I’m going to keep it real with you. Check out my story. I hope you laugh with me and cry with me and maybe get a little bit inspired.”
