Microsoft extends their backwards compatibility feature for multi-disc Xbox 360 titles on the Xbox One!

Microsoft silently enabled the use of multi-disc games on the Xbox One’s backwards compatibility feature. The move comes after concern that it wouldn’t be possible for the One to emulate older Xbox 360 titles that came with more than one disc.

But Major Nelson proved otherwise as he informed on Reddit that the backwards compatibility team is continuously working on the One’s backwards compatibility features and found a way to make it happen.

“I can confirm that the BC team has done work to support multi disc scenarios. Be sure to thank the BC engineers.”

So far – Deux Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut – is available for backwards compatibility. Hopefully other popular multi-disc games like Mass Effect and Dead Space make their way as well!
