Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake released a statement saying,

“This is our American system of justice and police officers must be afforded the same justice system as every other citizen in the city, state, and country.”

The officer was accused of negligence for failing to buckle Gray into a seat in the police van. Gray’s neck was completely broken during his transport due to the fact that he was not buckled in while handcuffed. Gray was also arrested without probable cause. Talk about equality for all. There is so much wrong with our justice system. Hopefully there will be some good coming from this case.

Our prayers go out to Gray’s family.
