Following the news that Joey Bada$$ had his Irving Plaza show postponed, to whom he blames the NYPD, some of hip-hop’s favorites also just had their shows cancelled at the venue including Mac Miller, YG, Vince Staples + more.

A rep from the venue told Rolling Stone:

“In light of last week’s tragic event, we are acting with an overabundance of caution and coordinating a going forward strategy with the New York Police Department that may also include a curfew. Because these discussions with New York Police Department are ongoing, we will be postponing a few of our upcoming shows.”

But it’s not just rap acts – Guns N Roses cover band Appetite For Destruction and Canadian rock outfit Black Pistol Fire, also had their shows postponed following the shooting that left 1 dead and put Troy Ave in the hospital and under investigation.

It’s gonna be tough to book big hip-hop shows in NYC for awhile.
