BET will pay tribute to the late Prince at the 2016 BET Awards this year, following his untimely passing in April. Many were upset at Madonna’s attempt to honor her friend at the Billboard Music Awards last month, and following that show, BET promised to deliver a much better one.
So far, Sheila E., The Roots, D’Angelo and Janelle Monae have been announced as performers for BET, with more to follow. Be sure to tune in on Sunday, June 26.
