The Derrick Rose legend in New York is off to a great start judging by his first Knicks press conference this afternoon. Media and fans alike couldn’t wait to hear what Rose had to say about being traded to the Knicks and he definitely did not disappoint.

Rose is going to wear #25 for the Knicks, an obvious change from his #1 jersey he has worn his entire pro career. “No. 25 was all for Chicago. It groomed me into the man I am right now. I’m not forgetting about the people back home.” The number 25 is also an ode to late Chicago legend, Ben Wilson.

He went on to say “I feel like something special is going to happen” and made sure Knicks fans know he is “putting my all into this”

As excited as that sounds for fans in the big apple, the two best part of the press conference came in the form of Rose letting an f-bomb fly

and then a somewhat subtle shot towards the Bulls, thanking them for trading him, because let’s face it, the Knicks are somehow better off than the Bulls are now and nobody would have seen that coming a few months ago. Jokes aside, he did thank the Bulls for basically giving him a fresh start.

Today was a great start to the D-Rose era.
