Remember this dude? He had allegedly sexually assaulted a woman at a Dallas resort where he was staying in 2014 and was later accused of raping a massage therapist the year before in California. Well, he was found guilty.
According to the District Attorney for the area, CJ is looking at 2-20 years jail time for his guilty verdict.
Spillman still professed his innocence during the trail stating that the sex between he and the victim was consensual and it was also made public that after CJ left the next day, the woman spoke with her family before reporting the alleged incident to the police.
Sometime during the last year, Spillman turned down a misdemeanor assault charge because he wanted to clear his name. Decisions, decisions.
Spillman was not re-signed with the Cowboys in 2015 though he did finish the 2014 season with this issue looming over his head. He has not played in the NFL since.
He is scheduled to be sentenced on Friday.
