Apparently people were not here for the Nathan’s Hot Dog eating contest. Protestors ran through the contest spraying fake blood on the contestants.
Dan Katz, who blogs for Barstool Sports was one of the sprayed contestants. He tweeted,
I also got attacked by PETA 2 minutes into the competition, knocked over all my plates and doused me in fake blood
