Yep, it’s a blast from the past! Jose Reyes was with the NY Mets between 2003 and 2011 and now, he’s baaaaack!!

Reyes left as a free agent in 2012 and went to the Miami Marlins, then the Toronto Blue Jays, and finally to the Colorado Rockies.

Jose had some domestic issues with his wife in Hawaii in February of this year. He was ultimately suspended without pay until May 31st. He remained with the Rockies until he was released as a free agent on June 25th. He was picked up by the Mets and played briefly for their New York-Penn League Class A affiliate team, the Brooklyn Cyclones. Reyes will be fully reinstated tomorrow as a NY Met.

If you’re a fan, you have to admit, those Reyes years were some of the best for the Mets. Let’s see if they can do it again. I’ve got faith in The Amazings!!
